10-30-2011 - SAVEPOINT SUNDAY! (Chiptune): "Medley" - Junko Mamiya

Y'know...old NES Music composed to be creepy sounding really did a good job at creeping me the FUCK out (even to this day), and with Halloween coming tomorrow, I thought it'd be fitting to share some really creepy NES music with y'all. This is from the NES Adaptation of a Japanese movie called, "Sweet Home", and it has been said that this game was the basis that "Biohazard" / "Resident Evil" would take its inspiration from. Good move, Capcom...this game was creepy as fuck...even for being an NES game. (It was never released in the USA, but if you have no qualms about emulation, you can easily find a translated ROM of the game.) Enjoy it!

10-30-2011 - Bonus Hotness (Dubstep): "Rumble" - Grumblex.

So, when I was at the Skream & Benga Show last week, I decided to take some random footage when I was really close to the DJ booth...and the second clip I recorded (See the clip here..note that there are STUPID levels of bass here...'cause I was standing right in front of the fucking sub woofers), Benga dropped this heavy hitter right here...but at the time, I had never heard of it. After I posted the clip to my Youtube, some random peeps that viewed it commented and told me what the song was. Yo, this dude, Grumblex, is only 16 years old, and I got to catch his track get dropped live by two of the founding fathers of Dubstep, and the crowd going WILD over it. That's got to be amazing for the kid, and I'm glad I was (unintentionally) a part of that. You can get the track for free on his Soundcloud page, too! Keep it up, kid! Everyone else, enjoy it!

10-30-11 - Yesterday's Hotness (Dubstep): "Moving On" - Rameses B.

So, due to a VERY unfortunate event, I was distracted from posting a track in a timely fashion, but now that's all over and done with. I noticed that my far-away-homegirl, Talina, posted this track up on her facebook page, so I gave it a listen and I was feelin' it, so here you go. Even better; if you like it, you can download it off of Rameses B's soundcloud page for free! Enjoy it!

10-23-2011 - SAVEPOINT SUNDAY! (Chiptune): "Round 2 Part 1" - Meldac Sound Team.

Man...this game, "Zombie Nation" is fuckin' strange as hell. I knew someone that had it, but I never personally played it until I downloaded the ROM way later in life. You know that one producer with the same name that made that one track, "Kernkraft 400(FUNFACT: I don't like that track. At all.)"? I can't hear that producer's name and NOT think of this game, ever. Speaking of games...Kernkraft 400 got it's entire melody from some Commodore64 game called "Lazy Jones" Enjoy it!

Hospital records has been sharin' some of it's more masterful tracks on facebook, and this is what showed up on my feed today. Really good shit here, so enjoy it! (P.S. Playaz Recordings has been very generous with it's free tracks lately. Sub Zero dropped "Motion VIP" for free, and you can get it here!

Thursday, October 6, 2011

10-6-2011 - Today's Hotness (Dubstep): "Tommy's Theme" - Noisia.

SICK new shit from Noisia. It's actually been out for a little while now, but I've only just listened to it. I'm REALLY feelin' the Spooky-Sci-Fi vibe this one is givin' off. Enjoy it! (I know I've been postin' up a lot of dubstep lately...it's being shoved in my face a lot more than Drum & Bass is lately, and I've been feelin' a lot of what I've been hearin'. I guess this is actually something of a good thing if you're one of the more dubstep-centric followers of the site...but I do try to maintain some kind of variety here.)

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

10-1-2011 - Today's Hotness (Drum & Bass): "The Code (Usual Suspects Remix)" - Absolute Zero & Subphonics.

So, at work today, I was blastin' "System Upgrade", one of the better Dieselboy Mix CDs, and this track is the last track on it (but the part that made the mix is like, 4 minutes in.). However, it goes by a slightly different name on the mix, and I'm not entirely sure why, so it's called, "The Code (Universal Suspects VIP) - Absolute Zero". Regardless, this track has classic written all over it. Enjoy it!
